Spring has definitely sprung in the PNW. It was 70 degrees today, and we had the door open to let the breeze through. Also, a mosquito tried to suck my blood! We’ve been watching the snow quickly receding from the mountains on the horizon – the same mountains that just days ago we were scoping out for good ski lines. All of the rivers are overflowing from rapid snow melt.
But there is still plenty of snow. Tomorrow morning we pack up and leave early for the heart of the Wallowas to snow camp for a couple of days – the ultimate social distancing and my favorite kind! I have a new, gigantic, warm expedition puffy that I haven’t worn yet, and I’m eager to test it out against the below freezing night temps in the mountains.
But for now, it’s movie time on the projector!0
