We are back from our weeklong geological tour of Oregon, and with us we brought so many treasures, far too many to picture here. The most incredible discovery spot was not far from the Hart Mountain Hot Springs, so close to where we’ve been many, many times. We scoured through a trove of fire opal, jasper, and agate that just littered the ground for miles across a dry lake bed. It was the same at the sunstone dig site. The ground sparkled and glittered from sunstone fragments under the midday sun. Mesmerizing golden treasure.
